Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who immediately made us feel welcome. They went above and beyond in providing us with local dining recommendations. Our room, although cozy, had a lovely sitting area in front of the TV and offered stunning views. The cleanliness of the room was top-notch. We enjoyed a pleasant evening in the bar, feeling like valued guests as we chatted with the owners. our stay was well worth it.

I had a wonderful time staying at this friendly hotel. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well appointed. I particularly loved the quirky artwork throughout the hotel. The breakfast, both buffet and served, was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and warm stay.

The location of this hotel is superb, set in beautiful grounds off a busy road but surprisingly quiet and peaceful. the rooms have a quaint, antique feel with lovely views and are kept spotlessly clean. the friendly staff provide excellent service, even bringing tea and toast to a guest who needed to work in the morning. the buffet breakfast is hot and satisfying, with a relaxed atmosphere and no limited menu to choose from.
The hotel can get quite hot, but the staff are accommodating and provide fans and bottled water to help guests stay cool.

At Hook House, we received excellent value for our money. The room had a charming antique feel and was impeccably clean, with a comfy bed and a lovely view. The location was tucked away yet easily accessible, and the staff treated us like royalty from the moment we arrived.
Breakfast delights, but a few more pastries in the continental spread would be a sweet addition.

We stayed at this charming hotel for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was just as lovely as when we got married here. The house is attractive and quirky, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious and well presented. We appreciated the library and bar, and felt truly at home, especially since they welcomed our dog. The location is perfect, offering easy access to many attractions. We can't wait to return!
Would recommend this hotel.

They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. the hotel had a charming and historic feel, with interesting artwork and beautiful grounds. We particularly enjoyed the fresh-made pizza on-site and the convenience of being within walking distance to local shops, pubs, and the train station.
The room we were given was quite small and the bed was smaller than expected. the limited breakfast options for vegetarians was a bit disappointing.

The value for money at Hook House was excellent, with a warm and friendly welcome, making it feel like a home away from home. The room, although small, was cute and cozy, and the grounds were well-maintained. The location was convenient and easily accessible. The owners were pretty good too ensure a pleasant stay.
The only improvement needed would be to offer more variety for breakfast. The food for breakfast was good, but having more options would enhance the dining experience.

I recently stayed at Hook House for a couple of nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room itself was fantastic, with a comfortable king-size four-poster bed and beautiful Swiss cotton linen. I also enjoyed the personal touches, like the choice of teas and delicious biscuits provided. The house itself had a charming atmosphere, with lovely open fires and cozy seating areas. The breakfast, both buffet and served, was excellent - a perfect start to the day. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
I highly recommend this hotel.
